Title:
Intro to RNNs and Other Machines that Learns Algorithms
Presenter:
Jürgen Schmidhuber
First impressions (e.g. organization, overview, personal appearance, body language, target audience)
The start was maybe a bit rough, however it may have been a good fit for the audience.
Use of visuals (e.g. balance of text and visuals, use of colour, assertion and claim evident, use of animations)
Some of the figures felt like they were not very relevant e.g. the one around 8:00.
Use of voice (e.g. pronounciation, articulation, pausing, chuning, word stress, speed)
Very confident style of speech, good pace.
Final impressions (what did I learn from this talk - what to do or what not to do)
A lot of content was packed into thsi presentation, however the nature of the talk as more of a review makes this inevitable. What not to do: Have varied figures with weird graphics that are not directly relevant to the ideas.
