Mathematical Streetsmarts

Back in 2019, I was attempting to get familiar with competition math style questions with a dear friend. He called the skill of doing great in these problems as "mathematical streetsmarts".

• The identity \(i = \frac{d}{dt} t^i_{|t=1}\) is helpful when e.g. computing the mean of the Binomial distribution.
