Falsifiability

A theory/statement/hypothesis is said to be falsifiable if it can be proven wrong. It is almost common consensus at this point that a good scientific theory is one that is falsifiable in principle, that is, we could imagine what could make the theory false, even if we cannot do what is being imagined here right now.
